VFR : Vertical Flow Regulator

Our customers appreciate a lot our trombone buffers (U-shaped DFR type) as the flow management is continuous and keep the product position either in rows or random. However, it is not always possible to integrate them in all layouts even using platforms, so we have been pushed to develop an alternative in-line solution.

Early 2018 we have developed an innovative multi-level solution: compact height easy to clean with optional integrated cooling system and a patented opening system. Gentle product handling thanks to the infeed tilting system equipped with a double pullnose in order to create the necessary gaps when changing the storage level, without acceleration and contact to products. Gaps are closed on the dicharge end and the row spacing can be increased with an accurate pitch to facilitate the handling to wrapping machines.

Demonstration of SG2C patented “Surf Belts”: a set of very short servo-driven wide belts allowing the alignment of products in rows without contact. This system solves various issues often encountered within production lines, when rows are mixed up after many process transfers or arriving staggered.

Presentation of the new generation of Dosing-Injection-Capping machinee: hygienic design and minimum tools for change-over as well as a double pullnose to change the spacing between rows, a 30° angled conveyor to spread the flow, a 90° curve and a 540° spiral belt suitable for small aligned products.

A record year

Record production volume achieved in 2016:

With 5 kilometres of belt conveyors and 150 belt bends including 360° spiral belts (dia.15mm end rollers) allowing reducing the number of conveyors in tight areas, as well as many DFR (FIFO dynamic flow regulators).

Encouraged by the high volume this year, the team produces now 100% in stainless steel and decided to integrate innovative components in order to standardize and reduce the assembly/cabling time as well as reducing the customer energy consumption (SEW DRC motors with integrated drives for decentralized installation and smaller control panels).

As part of two days organized by Rockwell Automation, the SG2C team was invited to share its experience and integration method.

New factory

SG2C has recently acquired a new factory (4000 m²) suitable to its industrial development needs. The company remains in the same industrial area “Estuaire Sud” only 200 m from its previous premises. The additional area allowed the establishment of a laser cutting machine in order to increase the flexibility to meet short delivery times. We hope to welcome you soon!
